If you are new to, or curious to try the ketogenic diet, this is a great book to get. The author explains the various aspects of the diet without being overly jargoned or technical/medical. She does cite scholarly articles and studies, and this is obviously well reached by her. It's an easy read, and easy to use as a reference guide. There are a number of lists, charts, and some great easy recipes to get you started. She also points the way to other authors and people (both medical and lay) who have been at the forefront on this topic. There is an extensive bibliography should you wish to learn more.
