The cyclical ketogenic diet (CKD) is similar to the idea of intermittent fasting, including ‘down and up’ days, or a 5/2 day cycle. The CKD involves eating a low-carb, keto diet for several days followed by a day or two of eating high carb. This is called “carb-loading.”
